My name is Mike Tunks. I have been working as a music supervisor for 5 years and have been able to work with amazing productions and helping bring their visions for their productions to life.
I have worked in the music industry for over 10 years in many different capacities. From hosting college radio shows and providing live sound to Canadian royalty distribution and international music publishing. I have a deep knowledge of international music rights and a strong passion for music placements in TV and Film.
One of my favourite placements is from the 2007 film Reign Over Me starring Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. There was such a strong scene where Adam Sandler’s emotions ramp up during a court hearing and he puts his headphones on to block out the world. He plays Love, Reign O’er Me by Pearl Jam and it brings out so much emotion from the court and makes the viewer feel for him. It’s scenes like this that made me want to become a Music Supervisor.
